I really don't know why you chose Yoda. I'm covering the show tomorrow and since you live in Philly and might not attend I'd like to ask, With all the other characters from Adult Swim why choose Yoda? I had to look on Wiki to make sure Clone Wars was even on Adult Swim. The reason I bring it up is because I hate the choice. You could have done Star Wars for fun or for some other Star Wars Tribute. I just wanted to know your reasoning behind choosing Yoda.

Hey Jonathan, first off, glad to hear you're covering the show tomorrow, I wish I could be there for the opening, but yeah, being on the east coast makes that difficult. I appreciate the feedback, though I'm not sure I understand your statement about "you could have done star wars for fun or for some other star wars tribute" comment. I do these shows because they ARE fun and because they leave a lot of freedom to each artist and I've kind of always wanted to do a Star Wars piece and this was a perfect opportunity to do that. Originally I was going to do a Robot Chicken piece but I can only imagine how many Robot Chicken pieces will be at the show, then I considered a Home Movies piece (love that show), but that doesn't entirely lend itself to the way I work, which brought me to considering Clone Wars for my subject matter. I understand it's not one of the more mainstream Adult Swim shows, but with any gallery show such as this that covers a broad selection of subject matter, you're bound to get a few of the more obscure subjects. Thanks for dropping by either way and I hope you have a great time at the show tomorrow!

Hey Eric

My statement about

"you could have done star wars for fun or for some other star wars tribute"

was about how many other Star Wars tributes go on constantly
here's links to two that are going on as your piece is still up

http://blogdowntown.com/2012/01/6570-yoda-and-brisk-iced-tea-a-seemingly-unlikely

then there's this one i covered from last year
http://www.ttdila.com/2011/09/obligatory-star-wars-post-art-from.html

and I know it's not an art show, but this thing http://www.ttdila.com/2011/12/star-wars-exhibit-discovery-science.html

I'm fairly sure with the new horrible 3d release even more tribute things will pop up.

That is why I felt it was strange to see Yoda the Adult Swim art show and not some Star Wars tribute.
